About The Position

Optima Medical is an Arizona-based medical group with 30 locations and more than 130 medical providers serving over 200,000 patients statewide. The organization provides personalized healthcare focused on prevention and offers primary care along with cardiovascular health services, behavioral health, allergy testing and immunotherapy, in-house lab testing, imaging, chronic disease management, and other specialty services. Optima Medical is seeking a Front Desk Representative to join its team. The role handles patient check-in and scheduling, insurance and payment tasks, phone calls, and patient-information updates.

Requirements

• At least one year of customer service experience (required).
• Experience with EMR.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask efficiently.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• One year of medical front-office experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage.
• Collect past-due balances and copayments when patients check in.
• Answer phones and relay messages.
• Confirm patient appointments.
• Schedule initial and follow-up appointments.
• Input and update patient information, including insurance details.
