About The Position

Floyd's 99 Barbershop is hiring a full-time Front Desk Host for its Wrigley shop in Chicago, Illinois. This customer-service role helps keep shop operations running smoothly by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, responding to customer questions, and taking messages for staff. The Host discusses customers' desired services, provides pricing information, and upsells treatments or products when appropriate. Other duties include generating quotes, estimating wait times, and assisting with general cleaning while maintaining a positive, seamless retail environment.

The shop describes its environment as fun, relaxed, and high-energy, with an emphasis on community, collaboration, and supporting one another. The Wrigley location is near Wrigley Field and local neighborhoods, entertainment, and businesses.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or the beauty industry.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate by phone and in person.
• Commitment to helping others and working as part of a team.
• Organizational, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends; evening and weekend availability is especially valued.
