About The Position
The Courtyard by Marriott Hillsboro is hiring Front Desk Agents for swing-shift and night-audit shifts. Front desk agents are the first point of contact for guests and help deliver the service and experience associated with the Marriott brand. The position is full-time, pays $18.50 per hour, and requires availability for weekends and holidays. Swing-shift agents work 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, welcoming guests, handling check-ins, check-outs and reservations, responding to calls and guest requests, resolving concerns, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance, and handling payments and end-of-shift balancing. Night-audit agents work 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. They conduct the nightly audit, balance daily revenue and transactions, prepare management reports, handle overnight front desk duties and guest needs, and monitor the lobby and property for guest safety and security.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hotel front desk experience.
- Friendly, dependable, and calm under pressure.
- Basic computer skills.
- For night audit: comfort with numbers and working independently.
- Availability for evenings or overnights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Nice To Haves
- Marriott brand experience is preferred.
- Hotel or customer service experience is a plus; training is available for the right person.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and handle check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
- Answer phones and respond to guest requests quickly and professionally.
- Resolve guest concerns and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance.
- Handle cash and credit card payments, and balance transactions at the end of the shift.
- Run the nightly audit and balance daily revenue and transactions.
- Prepare reports for management.
- Handle overnight front desk duties, including late arrivals and guest needs.
- Monitor the lobby and property for guest safety and security.
