About The Position

Mercier Consultancy Group is seeking a French Speaking Rent-a-Car Consultant for an on-site position in Sofia, Bulgaria. Requirements

• Native or fluent French language proficiency (both spoken and written) is essential for this role.
• Valid EU passport (mandatory requirement).
• Previous experience in tourism, car rental, travel services, hospitality, or a related customer-facing industry is highly advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in using computer systems, booking platforms, and CRM software; ability to learn new tools quickly.
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced tourism environment.
• Good command of English is an asset; additional European language skills are a welcome bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist French-speaking tourists and travellers with vehicle rental bookings, modifications, and cancellations in a professional and efficient manner.
• Provide detailed information about available vehicle categories, rental terms, insurance options, and add-on services tailored to each customer's travel needs.
• Process reservations and customer data accurately using the company's internal rental management systems and CRM tools.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints via phone, email, and live chat, ensuring swift resolution and a positive tourism experience at every touchpoint.
• Coordinate with partner agencies, travel operators, and tourism service providers to ensure smooth end-to-end customer journeys.
• Upsell relevant tourism services and vehicle upgrade packages to maximise customer satisfaction and revenue performance.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of travel destinations, road regulations, and tourism trends relevant to French-speaking markets.
• Accurately complete all rental documentation, payment processing, and post-rental follow-up procedures in compliance with company policy.
