About The Position

The Ocean Export Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the export of goods via ocean transport. This position manages a team of export professionals and ensures that export processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner. Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in ocean export operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Familiarity with export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in using computer software programs related to logistics and supply chain management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with logistics software and systems is required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with leading ocean cargo logistics software and systems
• Familiarity with ocean freight regulations, customs requirements, and export controls
• Knowledge of shipping routes and schedules
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of export professionals
• Develop and implement export processes and procedures
• Ensure that export processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner
• Coordinate with internal teams, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods
• Maintain relationships with customers and partners
• Analyze market trends and identify areas for process improvement
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
• Manage and oversee documentation for export shipments
• Develop and implement training programs for the export team
