About The Position

At DSV, a Freight Forwarder, Ocean Export manages the importation and exportation of goods by ocean and coordinates the associated logistics process. This includes customs clearance, carrier booking, cargo tracking, documentation, delivery or pickup of goods, and communication with customers and third-party service providers. The role coordinates with carriers, customs brokers, trucking companies, and internal departments to support timely and efficient delivery of goods and service.

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of ocean freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Fluency in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in ocean import and export.
• Knowledge of additional languages.

Responsibilities

• Manage ocean imports, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination.
• Manage ocean exports, including carrier booking and movement of goods through transportation channels.
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and trucking companies to support timely delivery.
• Prepare, process, and submit customs-clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork.
• Track and monitor shipments and provide customers with regular status updates.
• Manage customer relationships, maintain satisfaction, and address concerns or issues.
• Collaborate with internal logistics, finance, and operations departments to support timely and efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
