About The Position

Chapter 2 is hiring a Founding Technical Talent Partner to build the hiring function at an early-stage AI company from day one. The role owns end-to-end hiring, partnering closely with founders to establish priorities, define roles, and create the processes and hiring culture needed to support company growth. The Talent Partner will lead technical hiring across engineering and product, including senior software and AI engineers, while also running go-to-market and support searches. The position is based in San Francisco, with remote US candidates considered if they can travel to San Francisco regularly. The role is hybrid, with flexible work arrangements.

Requirements

Experience as a founding or first recruiter at a seed or Series A startup.
A track record of closing senior software or AI engineers.
Experience partnering directly with founders or executive leaders on hiring.
Experience running technical and non-technical searches at the same time.
Confidence sourcing across a range of platforms, with a focus on quality and long-term fit.
Based in San Francisco, or elsewhere in the US and able to travel to San Francisco regularly.

Responsibilities

Partner directly with founders to set hiring priorities, define roles, and run the hiring process.
Manage full-cycle recruitment, from sourcing and screening through offer and close.
Lead hiring for senior software and AI engineers, as well as product, go-to-market, and support roles.
Build the hiring process from scratch, including interview structure, scorecards, and candidate experience.
Use data to track progress and inform decisions at every step.
