About The Position

Chapter 2 is hiring a Founding Technical Talent Partner to build and lead the hiring function at an early-stage AI company. The role partners directly with founders to set hiring priorities, define roles, and manage recruitment from sourcing through offer and close. The successful candidate will lead technical hiring across engineering and product, including senior software and AI engineers, while also managing searches for go-to-market and support roles. They will establish the hiring process from scratch, including interview structures, scorecards, and candidate experience, and use data to monitor progress and inform decisions. The position is based in San Francisco, with a hybrid arrangement; US-based remote candidates who can travel to San Francisco regularly are also considered.

Requirements

Experience as a founding or first recruiter at a seed or Series A startup.
Track record of closing senior software or AI engineers.
Experience partnering directly with founders or executive leaders on hiring.
Experience running technical and non-technical searches at the same time.
Confidence sourcing across a range of platforms, with a focus on quality and long-term fit.
Based in San Francisco, or elsewhere in the US and able to travel to San Francisco regularly.
