Foster Care Worker
About The Position
TFI Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Foster Care Worker to work with children and families. The role supports children in thriving safely in their home environments by teaching skills such as emotion regulation, healthy communication, conflict resolution, and building healthy relationships. The worker also supports foster parents by helping train and license them and guiding them in caring for children in their homes. The advertised average hourly rate is $21.83, including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, and shift differential. Applicants are asked to complete a Predictive Index assessment, which takes 5–7 minutes and has no right or wrong answers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in the human services field.
- Complete a Predictive Index assessment as part of the application process.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with children and families to help ensure children can thrive safely in their home environments.
- Teach emotion regulation, healthy communication, conflict resolution, and healthy relationship-building skills.
- Help train and license foster parents.
- Guide foster parents in providing care for children in their homes.
