Foster Care Worker
About The Position
TFI Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Foster Care Worker to support children and families and advance the organization’s mission of strengthening families and advocating for children’s well-being. The worker partners with children and families to help children thrive safely in their home environments. They teach skills including emotion regulation, healthy communication, conflict resolution, and building healthy relationships. The role also supports foster parents by helping train, license, and guide them in providing care for children in their homes. The stated average hourly rate is $21.83, including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, and shift differential. Applicants are asked to complete a Predictive Index assessment, which takes approximately 5–7 minutes and has no right or wrong answers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in the human services field.
- Complete the Predictive Index assessment as part of the application process.
Responsibilities
- Work with children and families to support children’s safety and well-being in their home environments.
- Teach emotion regulation, healthy communication, conflict resolution, and healthy relationship-building skills.
- Help train, license, and guide foster parents in caring for children in their homes.
