About The Position
The Food Service Worker prepares, presents, and serves food as needed at Fresh & Ready Food Group in Lenexa, Kansas. This full-time role works Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in a temperature-controlled environment with extended exposure to cold conditions. The fixed pay rate is $16.00 per hour. Previous food service experience is required. Benefits include paid vacation and sick leave, early pay, and additional benefits for eligible associates.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and food trays between workstations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas using proper wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
