About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker at Baptist Jay Hospital in Jay, Florida. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, supporting patients, caregivers, and the community while meeting the company’s standards for quality, detail, and service. Previous food service experience is required. The fixed pay rate is $15.00 per hour. Days and hours may vary; schedule details will be discussed during the interview.
Requirements
- Previous food service experience.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, the stove, and the refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas and follow wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner according to outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Meet sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
