About The Position

Chartwells K-12 is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker at Pattonville School District in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, helping provide students with food they enjoy in a safe, friendly dining environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours that may vary and further details provided during the interview. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required. The stated pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The position is advertised with no work on holidays, spring break, and summer, and includes a free meal. School-break work may decline or cease; periods when no work is performed may be unpaid and treated as a temporary layoff. Depending on business needs, year-round work, potentially at another location during breaks, may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between workstations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas using wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner following outlined service steps.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Comply with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
