About The Position
The Food Service Worker helps create a welcoming environment and ensures food service areas are prepared, stocked, clean, and organized. The role includes greeting customers, assisting customers and patients, and working with supervisors and teammates to support efficient cafeteria operations and a positive service experience. Employees follow safety and sanitation guidelines and help prepare cafeteria and patient service areas for service.
Requirements
- Friendly interpersonal skills and enjoyment of meeting people, providing service, and building positive connections.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to read and follow instructions.
- Hold, or be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire, a food handler's permit from the City of Kansas City, MO, City of Independence, Jackson County, or Clay County.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, kneel, grasp, and perform fine motor tasks such as turning the wrists and fingers.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED; preferred but not required.
