Food Service Worker - Flex Shifts
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a full-time Food Service Worker for flexible shifts. The role performs dishwashing and other food service duties quickly and efficiently. As part of the Nutrition Department, the employee supports patient care by helping provide quality, nutritious meals to patients and their families. Interactions with patients offer the opportunity to contribute positively to their day. The position may suit someone who is in school or has food service or dishwashing experience. Employees may have opportunities to grow within the health system, move into department leadership, or pursue other career directions within the system.
Requirements
- Less than one year of applicable experience.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work, flexibility, eagerness to learn, and willingness to ask questions.
- Ability to work independently without guidance and as part of a team.
- Ability to be on your feet throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Handle, prepare, and serve food according to the written menu and sanitation regulations.
- Restock cafeteria supplies.
- Maintain sanitation of work areas, dishes, and equipment.
- Maintain inventory control, product rotation, labeling, and safe food handling practices to ensure continued product availability to customers.
