About The Position

Prepares, presents, and serves food as needed at The Westminster School in Atlanta. The role includes food preparation, safe handling and storage, cleaning, distributing supplies and equipment, serving customers, and following recipes, production standards, sanitation requirements, and inventory and cash control procedures. The position is full time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The stated pay range is $15.00 to $16.50 per hour. Free meals, uniforms, and laundering service are available at select locations.

• Previous knife skills experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry food pans, kettles, and trays to and from workstations, stoves, and refrigerators while following safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas using wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner according to established service steps.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
