About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring an on-call Food Service Worker at Providence Health St Elias in Anchorage, Alaska. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, while following food safety, sanitation, quality, portion-control, inventory, and cash-control standards. Requirements

One year of previous food service experience.
Ability to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
Store food in designated areas using required wrapping, dating, food-safety, and rotation procedures.
Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
Follow approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
Follow company service standards and inventory and cash-control procedures.
Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
