FOOD SERVICE WORKER (ON CALL)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring an on-call Food Service Worker at Northernlight Maine Coast in Ellsworth, Maine. The role prepares, presents, and serves food as needed, following food safety, sanitation, service, quality, and portion-control standards. The schedule is on call, with days and hours that may vary. The stated pay range is $17.00 to $22.00 per hour. Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of previous food service experience required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
- Carry pans, kettles, and food trays between workstations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Store food in designated areas and follow wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
- Follow approved recipes and production standards to maintain quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner according to outlined service steps.
- Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
- Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
