About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring an on-call Food Service Worker at Providence Health St Elias in Anchorage, Alaska. The position prepares, presents, and serves food as needed. The worker supports food preparation and service, follows food safety and sanitation standards, and helps maintain quality, portion control, inventory, and cash control procedures. The schedule is on call, with days and hours that may vary; further details are provided during the interview. The fixed pay rate is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of previous food service experience.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Prepare fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding them.
Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
Carry pans, kettles, and food trays between work stations, the stove, and the refrigerator while following safety standards.
Store food in designated areas using wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
Follow approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
