About The Position

TouchPoint Support Services is hiring an on-call Food Service Worker at St Vincent Ascension Clay Hospital in Brazil, Indiana. The role prepares, presents, and serves food for patients, families, and visitors. The schedule is on call, with days and hours that may vary. Previous food service experience is preferred, but training is available. The fixed pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food between workstations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas and follow wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Use approved recipes and production standards to maintain food quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, following outlined service steps.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Follow company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
