About The Position
Metz Culinary Management is hiring food service team members at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital’s Arizona Campus for diet aide and utility positions. Team members work in a busy, hospitality-driven hospital dining setting and may perform duties across dining and kitchen operations, including meal plating, café and restaurant setup and breakdown, food preparation, dish room work, inventory, and sanitation. Patient food servers assist patients with meal selection and tray setup, delivery, and removal, while following dietary instructions under the guidance of clinical dietitian staff. Line and prep cooks prepare and present meals according to the Executive Chef’s menus and help with ingredient inventory and portioning. Full-time and part-time roles are described, with flexible schedules and an optional Daily Pay benefit. The posting lists pay of $18.50 to $19.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- Hospitality experience is desired; candidates with a passion for food and understanding of the basics may be trained.
- Ability to apply elementary mathematical statistics to inventory and portioning.
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute where needed.

Responsibilities
- Plate meals and set up and tear down café, restaurant, and retail areas.
- Assist with kitchen preparation, dish room duties, dry stock, perishable food inventories, and sanitation.
- Assist patients with meal selection and tray setup, deliver and remove food trays, and comply with patient dietary instructions under clinical dietitian guidance.
- Prepare and present meals according to the Executive Chef’s menus.
