About The Position
Shady Grove Medical Center is seeking a Food Service Worker to support Adventist HealthCare’s mission of providing physical, mental, and spiritual care. The role involves preparing food according to standardized recipes, stocking items for sale, adhering to HACCP guidelines, and following department cleaning policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned. This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week with rotating shifts. Schedules vary according to department needs and may include shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Work is required every other weekend and on holidays according to the company holiday calendar. The position is not on-call and is eligible for shift differential. Pay range is $18.00–$22.79 per hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ServSafe certification, or ability to pass ServSafe within 60 days.
- 1–4 years of food service experience preferred.
- Proficiency in English; Spanish bilingual ability preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills preferred.
- Ability to handle a multitask environment preferred.

Responsibilities
- Prepare food and follow standardized recipes 100% of the time.
- Stock items to be sold.
- Adhere to HACCP guidelines and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points requirements.
- Follow department policies and procedures for cleaning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
