Lead Food Service Assistant - Nutrition and Food Services - Rotating
About The Position
The Food Service Assistant Lead is part of the Nutrition and Food Services team at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Illinois. The position helps ensure safe and fresh food delivery and provides timely, professional service to patients and customers. In a lead capacity, the employee has direct responsibility for the team's workload and workflow. Duties include assembling and serving patient meal trays efficiently and on time, retrieving soiled trays, and recording patient intake. This is a full-time position with 40 weekly hours. The schedule is Monday through Friday, either 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m., with every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or a minimum of two years of food service experience.
- At least two years of previous food service experience in a healthcare environment.
- State of Illinois ANSI Accredited Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of the start date for employees working on their Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate.
- State of Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate within three months of hire.
