FOOD SERVICE UTILITY (ON CALL)
About The Position
Chartwells K12 is hiring an on-call Food Service Utility associate at Kingsley Area Schools in Kingsley, Michigan. The position maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly while supporting food-service operations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., as needed by clients; additional details are provided during the interview. The pay range is $15.50 to $17.00 per hour. Because the work is in an educational facility, work may be unavailable during periods such as winter and summer breaks, resulting in unpaid temporary layoffs. Depending on business needs, year-round work may be required, potentially at a different location during break periods.
Requirements
- Prior kitchen experience is a plus.
- Be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Comply with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
