FOOD SERVICE LEAD (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Coordinates the activities of other food-service employees and creates an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors. The Food Service Lead oversees and participates in food and beverage preparation and service, ensuring company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control. The role supports menu planning, timely meal service, customer complaint resolution, employee training and work coordination, reporting, cash handling, supply ordering, and facility sanitation and safety. The position is based at Wayfair, 1801 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, Georgia.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of food service, catering, and coffee shop experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, quality customer service.
- Oversee and participate in food and beverage preparation and service in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
- Help plan menus.
- Ensure timely and efficient meal service and supervise meal service.
- Respond to customer complaints in person and by email.
- Train employees and assign and coordinate their work to promote efficiency and excellent service.
- Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
- Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including inventory, cash, production, payroll, and timekeeping records.
- Handle cash according to the Food Accounting Manual, including deposits, petty cash, and change funds.
- Order food and other necessary supplies from approved sources or purveyors.
- Direct and participate in facility and employee sanitation and safety in accordance with company standards and government regulations.
- Develop sanitation schedules and ensure employees follow them when cleaning the kitchen and dining area and washing utensils and equipment.
- Issue written and oral instructions.
- Help select and orient employees and oversee staff training in areas of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
