About The Position

The Food Service Floater serves customers on the food line; washes dishes using a dish machine and three-compartment sink; prepares hot and cold food items; operates the cash register; stocks nourishments; and assists with cleaning the department. Duties also include answering the department phone, taking patients’ food orders, setting up patient trays, and delivering meal trays to patients’ rooms. The role provides exemplary service to patients and cafeteria customers and complies with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Successfully complete the Serve Safe Certification Examination within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Food Sanitation Certification.
• Six months of previous cooking experience in a restaurant or healthcare setting within the past 5 years.
