About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - The Villages is a critical illness recovery hospital that provides inpatient post-ICU services to critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Food Service Aide/Dietary Aide performs patient food service, dining room, and dish room duties, contributing to food preparation, service, and cleanup. The position is per diem (PRN) in Oxford, Florida, with compensation of $18.00 per hour. The employer offers an extensive orientation program, potential advancement to full-time opportunities, and well-being benefits. Part-time and per-diem employees may be eligible for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient food service, dining room, and dish room services.
• Assist with food preparation and serve prepared food to patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with cleanup.
• Prepare food in a timely and efficient manner and provide high-quality food preparation and service.
• Complete scheduled procedures during the shift without compromising work quality.
• Help in other kitchen areas when necessary.
• Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
