About The Position

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is hiring a Food Service Associate to support food service operations. The role operates the restaurant point-of-sale system as a cashier, stocks restaurant supplies and food inventory, sets up and serves patient trays, prepares and delivers customer orders, and maintains clean and organized kitchen and public areas. The associate also operates food-service equipment and maintains cleaning and temperature logs. Other job-related duties may be assigned. The position is per diem with a variable shift. A Food Handler-ANSI certification is required. High school education or equivalent, an associate or technical degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience, and SERV Safe certification or equivalent are preferred. Adventist Health requires associates to receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

High school education/GED or equivalent.
Associate's/technical degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
SERV Safe certification or equivalent (preferred in California and Hawaii).

Responsibilities

Receive, prepare, and deliver customer orders efficiently.
Perform simple, routine food preparation and serving tasks; clean kitchen areas and cooking utensils.
Operate the restaurant point-of-sale system and cash register.
Stock restaurant supplies and food inventory as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area and public areas.
Report needed equipment maintenance or repairs promptly.
Maintain cleaning and temperature logs.
Set up and serve patient trays.
Carry dishes and food between the kitchen and serving lines.
Transport and store supplies.
Wash and cut vegetables and fruits.
Operate dishwashing, peeling, and other mechanical equipment.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
