About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Aide to support district-wide food service operations on a part-time basis. The role assists with meal preparation and service, maintains cleanliness and safety standards, and provides customer service to students and staff. The stated hours are 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in food service or a related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends.
• Must pass a background check as required by district policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals according to established guidelines and menus.
• Ensure food is stored, prepared, and served in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness in food preparation and serving areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Set up and break down food service stations for meal service.
• Monitor food inventory and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during meal times.
• Assist with special events and catering as required.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Cook and Director of Operations.
