About The Position
McArthur's serves New American cuisine inspired by the resort's architecture and the Sonoran Desert, featuring carefully sourced farm-to-table ingredients. The Food Runner delivers food from the kitchen to guests, verifies orders, follows service standards, and communicates needs or concerns to appropriate team members and managers. The role supports an excellent guest dining experience by maintaining food quality, presentation, and timely service while following safety guidelines. This is a part-time position. Shifts vary according to business needs and are typically between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior food and beverage experience is preferred.
- Food Handlers Card or ServSafe Food Handlers Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Serve food efficiently and in a friendly, courteous manner.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including their preparation.
- Ensure food preparation and presentation are proper throughout the guest dining experience.
- Coordinate timing with the kitchen to ensure timely food deliveries.
- Pay attention to guest special requests, allergies, and food modifications.
- Pick up food products for service-staff orders from the Purchasing Department.
- Assist kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain food quality, presentation, and timing.
- Set up the front line with equipment, plate ware, and towels needed to serve food.
- Keep the station restocked and organized throughout the shift.
- Read incoming order tickets and place them on the ticket rail.
- Track cooking times, check finished food for doneness, appearance, and plate presentation, and inform the Chef and manager on duty when ticket times are running long.
- Assist servers as needed to ensure guests have everything they need.
- Perform duties in accordance with safety guidelines and practices.
- Report unsafe conditions or acts, accidents, and injuries to the chef or another manager on duty.
