About The Position

This role is for a Food Runner at the Infinity Buffet, responsible for maintaining food stations, ensuring food quality and presentation, and providing excellent customer service. The position requires adherence to strict safety and sanitation standards, effective communication with kitchen staff, and a thorough understanding of menu items. The Food Runner will also be responsible for cleaning and organizing their work area, and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary languages of the work location.
Knowledge of the sequence of service and buffet procedures.
Minimum of one year experience as a bus person.
Customer orientation.

Responsibilities

Preparation of food line stations prior to each meal period.
Adherence to all safety, sanitation, and temperature standards.
Ensuring all foods are filled and presentable.
Communicating with the kitchen staff regarding food on hand and its quality.
Having knowledge of each item and its main ingredients.
Returning any food that is not consumed for proper storage or disposal.
Keeping a clean, organized, and sanitary work station at all times.
Stirring each item twice an hour to maintain temperatures and presentation standards, and changing out pans of all food items every hour.
Wearing gloves, hair restraints, pocket thermometer, and nonslip footwear at all times.
Being pleasant, accommodating, and hospitable to guests, smiling in front of guests and answering questions about offerings.
Cleaning work area thoroughly every shift, including heat lamps, counters, floor, heat wells, cabinets, hand sinks, sneeze guards, plate dispensers, and coolers.
Performing any other duties requested by the Sous Chef, Supervisors, and Manager.
