About The Position

The Busser assists Servers with guest service and helps maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the restaurant. Duties include delivering bread, serving water, replenishing supplies, setting and clearing tables, cleaning after meal service, and preparing the restaurant for the next meal. The role also involves stocking service areas and promptly reporting safety issues to a manager. Physical presence at the job site is essential. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment and communicating with customers and coworkers in English.

Requirements

• Partial high school education; a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Strong sanitation habits.
• Strong customer service abilities, including proactively looking for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Ability to recognize problems and communicate them to management.
• Ability to move frequently around the unit, bend, lift, carry, reach above shoulder height, and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30–35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to stand for the entire workday, climb steps regularly, and work in wet and slippery conditions and temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in, and grill areas.
• Ability to read and write work-related documents in English and to understand and speak clearly with customers and coworkers in English.
• Ability to communicate constantly with other employees in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Physical presence at the job site to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist Servers by delivering bread, serving water, and replenishing supplies.
• Set and clear guest tables during meal service.
• Help maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Perform cleanup after each meal service and prepare and set up for the next meal.
• Stock service areas with coffee, food, tableware, linens, and other supplies.
• Remain aware of safety issues and report them promptly to a manager.
