About The Position

Heritage Landing in Punta Gorda, Florida, is hiring a Food Runner/Busser to support dining operations at a fast-paced, hospitality-focused property. The role prepares and maintains service materials and dining areas, helps ensure food is delivered according to guest tickets, assists servers, and cleans and resets tables and workstations. Regular and reliable attendance on weekends and holidays is required.

Responsibilities

Ensure all materials used by servers are clean and ready for daily operations.
Know the position of each diner's chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
Set the outside line with underliner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and other items needed to deliver food.
Organize plates in the window and match each plate with its ticket before running food to tables.
Set tables according to Troon Golf standards.
Ensure each menu item is prepared to the exact specifications on its ticket.
Consult with the chef and correct a menu item before delivery if it does not meet the ticket specifications.
Fill and refill water glasses and remove unused place settings.
Clear dishes in front of guests after a course is completed.
Clear and reset tables after guests leave, including changing tablecloths, brushing chairs, positioning chairs, and replacing silverware, glassware, and napkins.
Assist servers as needed.
Keep workstations stocked with items and ingredients.
Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
Perform other duties as required.
