Food Runner/Busser (PM)
About The Position
The Food Runner/Busser is integral to the success of the restaurant, working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to deliver dishes to the correct tables and guests. The role requires taking direction well and having thorough menu knowledge to answer guest questions accurately while delivering food. The position also involves maintaining sanitation and food safety standards, bussing tables, checking that guests are satisfied, and preparing tables before service. The Laylow is part of the Makeready collection, which describes its hospitality as a blend of mid-century modern design and Hawaiian warmth in a tropical Waikiki setting.
Requirements
- Experience in a restaurant or hospitality entity.
- A positive and professional demeanor.
- An approachable and friendly personality.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders to customers quickly and accurately.
- Uphold sanitation and food safety standards.
- Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash.
- Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory.
- Assist with setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins, and decorations.
