About The Position

The Food and Beverage Attendant is an entry-level front-line role in Cherokee Casino’s dining venues, responsible for helping guests have a positive experience while maintaining service and cleanliness standards. The attendant takes guest orders, processes payments, keeps the condiment area, dining room, and front counter stocked, and maintains clean work areas and service tools. The role also requires following alcohol safety standards, including checking identification to verify guests meet minimum drinking age requirements, and promoting a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to obtain a food handler’s card.
Ability to obtain a state-issued Alcoholic Beverage License.
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to work in a setting that may include exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.

Responsibilities

Take guest orders efficiently and in a friendly, proper manner, providing exceptional customer service.
Perform financial transactions and process payments for goods and services.
Maintain stock levels in the condiment area, dining room, and front counter.
Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, including cleaning the cashier station, menus, and other necessary tools.
Follow alcohol safety standards, including checking identification to verify minimum drinking age requirements.
Promote a fun, friendly, quick, comfortable, clean, and safe environment (“The Big Six”).
