About The Position

Floor Staff provide quality guest service through ticket and concession sales while maintaining theatre cleanliness. The role includes serving guests, processing transactions, preparing food items, keeping sales areas stocked and organized, monitoring auditoriums and the building, and assisting with theatre operations. Staff may handle minor customer complaints and refer more difficult situations to the manager.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a team.
• Ability to perform basic math and cash-handling duties.
• Knowledge of how to operate a register and/or computer, or willingness to train.
• Must be honest, reliable, self-motivated, dependable, positive in customer relations, and able to multitask.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, efficient guest service.
• Keep the box office and concession areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Inform guests about special promotions and savings.
• Sell tickets and concessions, assemble food items, operate point-of-sale terminals, and make accurate change.
• Recommend additional products to complement guest orders.
• Maintain adequate cash funds and notify the manager when cash drops are needed.
• Check theatres every 30–45 minutes for theatre hopping, theft, or vandalism.
• Monitor seating availability in crowded auditoriums.
• Check the outside of the building for cleanliness, vandalism, or loitering in all types of weather.
• At the end of the night, ensure auditoriums, restrooms, and game room areas are empty.
• Conduct crowd control.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, including MPAA requirements.
• Prepare the concession stand for opening or closing.
• Track inventory and control spoilage.
• Perform general theatre cleaning and operational tasks as directed by the manager on duty.
• Handle minor customer complaints and call the manager when a situation is too difficult.
