Team members are expected to represent Regal consistently with its mission and policies, maintain regular and consistent attendance, respond to emergencies when called upon, perform general cleaning duties, and comply with the company dress code. Box Office duties include operating the point-of-sale system and accurately handling cash drawers, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discounts, passes, and coupons. Staff promote premium viewing experiences and the Regal Crown Club, sell tickets according to the MPAA rating system and company policy, and answer guest questions and phone calls in keeping with the guest service philosophy. Concession duties include operating the point-of-sale system; handling payments, coupons, and concession inventory accurately; promoting the Regal Crown Club; preparing, operating, and cleaning concession equipment; and suggesting additional purchases. Staff must follow food-safety laws and laws governing breaks and meal periods. Where applicable, alcohol certification and training must be current; employees assigned to sell or serve alcohol must meet the applicable legal age and training requirements. Usher duties include tearing and collecting ticket stubs, directing patrons, inspecting bags when applicable, managing crowds, helping guests find seats, and enforcing the MPAA rating system. Ushers inspect auditoriums for picture and sound quality, content theft, and safety; report problems and unusual situations to management; perform auxiliary concession sales as directed; clean auditoriums after shows and maintain other theatre areas; monitor vending equipment; and assist with opening and closing duties. Successful employees must complete the cast certification program as a cast member and box office cashier, or be progressing toward completion. They must be able to communicate effectively, perform calculations accurately, identify and evaluate problems, and work under pressure. The job involves frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, and speaking or hearing; occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and may occasionally require lifting up to 60 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for employees with disabilities.
