About The Position

Floor Staff at Rock Spot Climbing deliver outstanding customer service to members and guests and help ensure a safe, fun environment through instruction and group facilitation. They perform these duties under the supervision of a shift supervisor. Team members are expected to support the company’s mission and core values: providing a positive climbing experience for all; promoting climbing to all ages and abilities; creating outstanding customer experiences; building relationships and connections; striving for excellence; and succeeding as a team.

Requirements

• Be punctual and reliable.
• Have previous indoor rock climbing and belaying experience.
• Be safety conscious.
• Have previous experience working with children.
• Have customer service and sales experience.
• Have an outgoing, friendly personality.
• Be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make customers of all experience levels feel welcome.
• Provide orientations, belay instruction, and belay services for members and guests.
• Monitor the climbing floor for potential safety hazards and regularly evaluate customer belay skills.
• Perform necessary route maintenance tasks to maintain the quality of the climbing product.
• Clean customer- and staff-focused areas throughout shifts to maintain a welcoming environment.
