About The Position

The Floor Houseperson cleans and services assigned hotel public spaces in accordance with franchise and hotel standards. The role maintains quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments, reports maintenance deficiencies, and handles guest requests and complaints to support guest satisfaction. The Floor Houseperson follows housekeeping, safety, and security procedures, protects the confidentiality and security of guest rooms, and returns and restocks the cart at the end of each shift. Additional deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning duties are completed as scheduled, along with other duties as assigned. This position is at the Courtyard by Marriott Baltimore McHenry Row, a 126-room property operated by Shaner Hotels.

Requirements

• At least one year of cleaning experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers so they understand.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
