About The Position

The Floor Houseperson cleans and services assigned hotel public spaces in accordance with franchise and hotel standards. The role maintains quality and cleanliness, responds to guest requests and complaints, reports maintenance deficiencies, and follows housekeeping, safety, and security procedures. The position also includes scheduled deep or seasonal cleaning and returning and restocking the cart at the end of each shift.

Requirements

• At least one year of cleaning experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they understand.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned hotel public areas to the hotel's established cleanliness standards.
• Maintain quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Handle guest complaints and requests to support guest satisfaction.
• Report maintenance deficiencies.
• Follow housekeeping, safety, and security procedures, including protecting the confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
• Return and restock the cart at the end of the shift.
• Complete additional deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning tasks as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
