About The Position

Shaner Hotels is hiring a Guest Room Attendant for the Courtyard by Marriott Baltimore McHenry Row, a 126-room hotel in Baltimore. The role is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned guest rooms according to priority and hotel and franchise standards, maintaining quality and cleanliness, and helping ensure guests have a satisfying stay. The attendant handles guest requests and complaints, reports maintenance deficiencies, and maintains the confidentiality and security of guest rooms. The position also includes restocking the cart, completing scheduled deep or seasonal cleaning, and following housekeeping, safety, and security procedures. A flexible schedule is required, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Requirements

• At least one year of cleaning experience.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they understand.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Maintain established standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Handle guest requests and complaints, helping ensure guest satisfaction.
• Report maintenance deficiencies.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of guest rooms.
• Follow house rules, safety rules, housekeeping room procedures, and security procedures.
• Return and restock the cart at the end of the shift.
• Complete additional deep-cleaning and seasonal-cleaning functions as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
