The role monitors vehicle status and readiness, prioritizes repairs and upfitting, coordinates preventive maintenance and inspections, and serves as a service advisor by scheduling services, managing work orders, and tracking parts and purchase orders in a maintenance asset tracking system. Additional duties include coordinating radar and speedometer calibrations, tracking vehicle damage and related insurance claims, arranging vendor services and equipment, transporting vehicles to repair vendors, preparing end-of-life vehicle disposal documentation, and overseeing Fleet volunteer assignments. The position requires adapting to changing conditions, handling a high volume of work, and managing complex scheduling and records. All Citrus County Sheriff’s Office employees are considered essential emergency workers and may be required to work in any capacity or hours deemed necessary during activations, including in-County and out-of-County deployments.
