About The Position

The Fitness Center Team Member supports daily operations at Paradise Coast Sports Complex in Naples, Florida. The role helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming fitness environment by monitoring patrons and equipment, carrying out upkeep and cleaning, and supporting group exercise classes. The team member also assists with memberships and facility closeout procedures, and completes other duties assigned by managers on duty.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must have excellent guest service skills.
Must work well in a team environment.
Must have a flexible work schedule and regular attendance, including availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Experience in a fitness or gym setting.

Responsibilities

Ensure facility users follow Paradise Coast Sports Complex guidelines to maintain safety and prevent property damage.
Monitor use of fitness center equipment and report defects to the Fitness Coordinator or other managerial staff.
Perform standard equipment upkeep and make sure equipment is safe to use.
Monitor the fitness center floor, report missing equipment, and ensure weights and other accessories are stored safely and appropriately.
Replenish supplies such as disinfectant wipes and paper towels.
Encourage guests to wipe down equipment after use and clean equipment with disinfectant spray as directed.
Perform general maintenance checks of gym equipment, facilities, and other fitness center equipment; note maintenance needs or minor repairs.
Vacuum, mop, dust, and perform other cleaning tasks as needed during each shift.
Clean group exercise facilities and equipment.
Set up and take down equipment for group exercise classes.
Assist with facility and equipment closeout procedures as needed.
Complete new sign-ups and membership renewals.
Perform other duties assigned by managers on duty.
