About The Position

The Fitness Center Team Member supports the day-to-day operation of the Paradise Coast Sports Complex fitness center. The role helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by monitoring guests and equipment, replenishing supplies, cleaning and organizing fitness areas, and reporting equipment defects or maintenance needs. The team member also supports group exercise classes by setting up and taking down equipment, assists with facility closeout procedures, and processes new sign-ups and membership renewals. Flexible scheduling and regular attendance are necessary.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Excellent guest service skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Flexible work schedule, including mornings or nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours; regular attendance is necessary.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Ensure facility users follow Paradise Coast Sports Complex guidelines to help maintain a safe atmosphere and prevent property damage.
Monitor the use of all Fitness Center equipment.
Report equipment defects to the Fitness Coordinator or other managerial staff.
Perform standard equipment upkeep and ensure equipment is safe to use.
Monitor the fitness center floor, ensure equipment remains in the facility, and report unaccounted-for equipment.
Replenish facility supplies such as disinfectant wipes and paper towels.
Ensure weights, dumbbells, bands, clips, and other items are stored safely and appropriately.
Encourage guests to wipe down equipment after use and clean equipment with disinfectant spray as directed.
Conduct general maintenance checks of gym equipment, facilities, and other fitness center equipment.
Note general maintenance needs and small items requiring repair.
Vacuum, mop, dust, and perform other cleaning tasks as needed during each shift.
Clean group exercise facilities and equipment used.
Set up and take down equipment for group exercise classes.
Assist with facility and equipment closeout procedures as needed during each shift.
Complete new sign-ups and membership renewals.
Perform other duties as assigned by Managers on Duty.
