Fire Suppression Service Technician
About The Position
The Fire Suppression Service Technician performs service and repairs on kitchen hood systems and other related building system products at customer sites. The technician services, troubleshoots, and installs systems from multiple manufacturers, including Simplex and ANSUL. The role involves interpreting technical documentation and managing daily service calls, customer activity, and system product programs. The technician also assists customers with questions and concerns, participates in an emergency-service on-call rotation, and performs inspections of suppression gas systems based on contract requirements.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
- PC skills, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience installing and servicing ANSUL, PyroChem, and Piranha systems.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and REAL ID.
Responsibilities
- Perform service and repairs on kitchen hood systems and related building system products at customer sites.
- Service, troubleshoot, and install systems from multiple manufacturers, including Simplex and ANSUL.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software and systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
- Manage daily service calls, customer activity, and system product programs.
- Assist customers with questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service.
- Inspect suppression gas systems according to contract requirements.
