Fine Jewelry Commission Sales Associate - Glendale Galleria
About The Position
The Fine Jewelry Commission Sales Associate serves as the store’s knowledgeable resource for Fine Jewelry, using in-depth product knowledge and customer education to help customers find merchandise that suits their needs. The role focuses on engaging customers, delivering service, and meeting sales goals, including supporting the Instant Credit Application Process (iCAP). The associate also supports inventory and merchandise-transfer activities, maintains an organized sales floor, and follows company shrink, safety, and performance standards. The position offers a wage of $17.00 per hour, plus 1% commission on sales of qualified merchandise and 10% commission on Service and Care plans.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of retail experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Fine Jewelry products.
- Ability to engage customers, provide customer service, and contribute to sales goals.
- Accountability for results and the ability to provide feedback, visibility, and recognition to the team.
- Ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively with a wide audience, and respect different styles.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations with energy and a positive attitude.
- Confidence in taking on challenging assignments and addressing conflict constructively.
Responsibilities
- Approach customers in a friendly manner, identify their needs, and help them make product or service decisions.
- Explain key product attributes to generate customer interest and build clientele.
- Use Fine Jewelry product knowledge and customer service to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Enthusiastically engage customers in support of the Instant Credit Application Process (iCAP).
- Participate in inventory processes, including annual inventory, cycle counts, system uploads, stock ledger activities, and Radio Frequency Identification scans.
- Participate in Merchandise Transfer Out, Return to Vendor, Return to Warehouse, and Defective Merchandise Transfer Out activities.
- Maintain sales-floor recovery processes and keep the store environment clean and organized.
- Support company shrink and safety initiatives and meet established performance standards for sales, customer service, profit, productivity, iCAP, and attendance.
