About The Position

Manhatta, a restaurant and full-service event space from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, is located sixty stories above Lower Manhattan and serves seasonal cooking with views of New York City. Fine Dining Baristas prepare coffee and tea beverages for the Main Dining Room and work closely with colleagues in a team-oriented fine dining environment. The role calls for a passion for coffee, attention to detail, urgency, and genuine hospitality toward colleagues and guests. Baristas also support the organization’s culture of Enlightened Hospitality and may take on additional duties or projects as needed to support team and organizational objectives. The expected hourly rate is $11.35 plus tips. Requirements

Experience working as a barista in a similar environment.
Experience working front-of-house in a full-service restaurant.
Curiosity and willingness to continue learning in the position.
Passion for coffee and ability to prepare classic espresso beverages.
Ability to dial in espresso, pull consistent shots, and create latte art.
Familiarity with current trends in the specialty coffee and tea industry.

Prepare coffee and tea beverages for the Main Dining Room.

Dial in espresso, pull consistent shots, and create latte art.
Work with urgency and attention to detail.
Interact and communicate with colleagues and guests with genuine hospitality.
