The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) begins by obtaining required securities licenses through dedicated classes and study time for the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 exams (Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66). After licensing, the advisor learns foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, understanding clients’ financial situations, and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center to deliver core banking and investment solutions and client care. The role includes structured training, one-on-one coaching, and support from Academy managers and resources. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships with a client portfolio and may pursue other roles within Bank of America and Merrill. The position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Employees engaged in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry system, complete the required background check and registration process, and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in immediate termination. The role is open across the market; the specific financial center will be based on business needs. Training takes place at one financial center, and the advisor may initially work in a phone-based capacity until another location within reasonable commuting distance is determined, as permitted by applicable law. The position is in-office, with role-specific flexibility based on responsibilities and business needs.
