The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I) role begins with dedicated training to obtain securities industry licenses: the SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of Series 66). After licensing, the advisor learns foundational skills for acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ financial circumstances; and providing advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, the advisor works in a financial center delivering core banking, investment solutions, and client care. Training, coaching, programs, tools, and resources support development. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, with opportunities to continue advancing at Bank of America and Merrill. The role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including registration with the federal registry system and a background check. The employee must obtain the SIE within 30 days of hire and Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days. Work begins with training at a financial center and may initially be phone-based until a financial center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, subject to applicable law. The specific center is based on business needs.
