As a Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (FSA I), you begin by preparing for and obtaining securities industry licenses through dedicated classes and study time. After licensing, you learn foundational advisory skills, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships; understanding clients’ complex financial situations; and guiding them with advice and solutions. After reaching key milestones, you work in a financial center to deliver the bank’s core banking and investment solutions and client care. Training, coaching, programs, tools, and resources support your development. Successful Stage I advisors typically progress to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II, where they grow and deepen relationships within a client portfolio and may pursue other roles at Bank of America and Merrill. The role is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements, including federal registry registration and a background check. Employees must obtain the SIE within 30 days of hire and Series 7 and Series 66 within 120 days; Series 63 and 65 are accepted in lieu of Series 66. The schedule is Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays, 40 hours per week, on first shift. The specific financial center location is based on business needs. Training takes place at one financial center, and the role may initially be phone-based until another center within a reasonable commuting distance is determined, as permitted by applicable law.
